telepark.wiki: Technical Features

telepark.wiki : WYSIWYG visual editor

WYSIWYG Editor

telepark.cms features a visual WYSIWYG editor to format pages with the convenience of Microsoft Word. You can edit text, embed images, add tables and create links. Internal links are easily set by double-clicking on the desired target page in a treeview. Pasting content from Word is supported and preserves the formatting.

telepark.wiki : Interactive menu with drag-and-drop and right-click context menu

Drag-and-drop menus

Your Websites' multi-level menu structure is managed by drag-and-drop. In the backend system, there is a node for Menu items and a node for Page items. Dragging a page up to the appropriate menu node creates the menu item, easy as that. Hereafter, you can set permissions by user group if you want to restrict the visibility of a particular menu item.

SEO Search Engine Optimization

You can set the page title, a description, keywords and even the URL for each page individually. Instead of having to bother with typical CMS links such as pid=287366278, your Websites URL look like /Our-products and get indexed by search engines accordingly greatly boosting your sites ranking with Google.

User Management

You can manage any number of users and any number of user groups in the telepark.cms backend system. Page and menu permissions can be set for each user group individually and independently. Once the user logs-in, the appropriate menu structure of your site is shown. Very helpful to manage restricted areas for clients or to manage Intranet content for employees.

Multilingual sites

telepark.cms is multi-lingual at its core. Not just its backend user interface can be switched to any language you desire (en and de are the default languages). Each site can have any number of language copies: multi-lingual editing is supported with a split-screen showing one language in the left pane and a secondary language in the right pane.

Standard Modules

telepark.cms comes with a number of standard modules such as Web Forums, Photo Boards, Online Shops, Google Maps, News, and more. Module functionality can be applied to any page within your Website. This is done in the visual editor by selecting the appropriate module from a dropdown list. The functionality immediately becomes available on that page.

Intranet Features

telepark.cms has a number of optional features for corporate Intranet projects. These include Employee Directories, Business Card order management and Apparel shops. Most importantly, telepark.cms can manage HR (human resources) approval processes based on electronic forms and the APM (Approval Process Module), e.g. for travel, leave, cash-back, hiring and other HR business processes.

Custom Modules

Most telepark.cms installations feature client-specific database applications embedded into their Websites and the CMS backend as custom modules. Examples are an Actors Video database (in Flash Video format), Germany's largest Internship database for school children and an association with over one hundred sub-Sites of the master site based on a master template, each subsite being managed individually by local chapters.
