Installation Instructions

What you need:

You need a Web hosting package or a local Webserver with PHP 4.3x or later.

Installing to a web hosting package:

1. Extract the .zip file that you downloaded. Unzip to a new folder on your computer.
2. FTP upload all files to a folder on your Webserver (e.g. www.you.com/wiki/) using FTP software
3. Open www.you.com/wiki/ to start the telepark.wiki automatic setup and to enter your keycode

Installing to a local web server (e.g. XAMPP from http://www.apachefriends.org):

1. Extract the .zip file that you downloaded to the /htdocs folder on your local XAMPP Webserver
2. Open your local Webservers' URL in your browser to start the setup (e.g. http://localhost/wiki)
3. Complete the installation by entering your Wiki keycode

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Where do I get my Wiki key code?
In order to send you a Wiki key code, please send us the following information:

• The domain address for which you wish to install telepark.wiki e.g.
  http://www.your-domain.com
  http://192.12.456.65/
  http://ibmserver/
• The number of Wiki users: e.g. 10
• Your email address: e.g. info@your-domain.com

2. How do I log in to Wiki?
Go to the “Login” link in the header on your Wiki and enter the username: “superadmin” and the password “superadmin”. Please change the password in the Settings area (link in header, too).

3. What should I do if I get the error message “mod_rewrite must be enabled!”?
If this message appears for a web hosting package, contact your provider. If this message appears for a local server, open the file “httpd.conf” in the folder on your local server (e.g. apache/conf/httpd.conf) with a conventional editor and look for the line LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so. Remove the “#” symbol at the beginning of the line and save.

4. What if something goes wrong?
Make sure that the PHP_safemode setting of your Webserver is set to "off" (contact your provider in case). If that does not solve it, contact us by email (info@telepark.de).
